A ring die has an exit slot formed between an adjustable center spigot (1) and a flexible sleeve (3). The sleeve (3) is moved by radial adjusters (4) and supported by a collar (10) which allows it to slide radially. There is no sleeve support at the exit end and the line of action (9) of the adjusters (4) is arranged so that the balance of forces results in the upper sleeve surface (5) remaining flat.
