Some or each of the data carriers have at least one marking (16,20,22,23) which allows its angular position about its axis of rotation (13) to be determined for data carriers made in the same manufacturing process. The data carrier is scanned to detect the markings. The scanning and/or test results of geometrical regions (21) having corresponding positions w.r.t. the markings are evaluated for the same angular positions. An Independent claim is included for an apparatus for optical testing of a number of circular data carriers. |
