A granulating cutter has a cutter head with a rotating knife holder (16) driven by a shaft (8). The drive is taken through a clutch (19) with teeth (22) spaced round two facing annular rings (20,21). The knife holder (16) is held on the shaft (8), with the clutch in the closed position, by claws (42) engaging a bead (32). The claw mechanism is operated by a hydraulic piston (37).
