The switched mode mobile telephone spiral antenna creates radiation patterns to receive rotating polar satellite communications. The conical section spiral antenna has several sets of turns (B1-B4) together with a switching mode function (m1,m2) providing a vertical radiating or horizontal radiating pattern. The pattern can be switched before or after satellite signal losses.
