<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the equipment investment and running cost of a biological treating device by miniaturizing the whole device for drying a material to be treated such as garbage to about 60% water content appropriate for biological fermentation and then fermenting the material with bacteria. SOLUTION: A material 2 to be treated is charged into one treating tank 1, the inside of the tank 1 is evacuated by a vacuum-drying system 10, and the material 2 is vacuum-dried to about 60% water content. Subsequently, the vacuum-drying system 10 is switched to a biological fermenting system 20 by a switching means 30, bacteria are added to the material 2 in the tank 1 to biologically ferment the material. Since the vacuum drying and biological fermentation are performed in the common tank 1, only one control system 60 is needed for the drying and fermentation.</p> |
