PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a good quality recorded image by optimizing a temperature atmosphere in a developing device and a temperature distribution to a sensitive material in terms of an image setter that forms an image on the sensitive material by developing the image by virtue of heating development after exposing. SOLUTION: This image setter comprises an image developing device 41 that develops a latent image formed on a sensitive material P by virtue of exposing by irradiation of a laser. The developing device 41 is equipped with a heater unit 42 that develops the latent image by heating the sensitive material P and a density measuring device 44 that measures a density distribution of a printed image after the development. The printed pixel of a test pattern formed on a sample of the sensitive material P is measured by means of the density measuring device 44 and a heating temperature distribution to the sensitive material P by the heater unit 42 is treated based on the measured result, thereby obtaining the printed image having no destiny difference in the width direction of the sensitive material P.
