<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for solving the problem with the floor faces of conventional beds for seriously handicapped people that a patient is afflicted with pain when functions for raising his back, for raising his legs for maintaining his body, and for raising and lowering the bed are actuated. SOLUTION: This bed is provided with a function by which a hinge for raising a back-raising bottom 5 is moved according to back raising, a function by which the timing for moving the hinge for back-raising and that for moving leg-raising bottoms A3, B2 are adjusted according to a patient's physique and the thickness of a mat, and a function by which an entire floor face is raised and lowered by two leg links A11, B12 and a compression spring 10. As a result, the patient can be converted from a supine position to a sitting position without compressing the abdomen and causing friction on the back and is relieved of pain by preventing horizontal shaking when the bed is raised or lowered for changing a diaper.</p> |
