PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a laminate which is an inexpensive material to be used in place of PVDC and has good oxygen barrier properties under high humidity conditions. SOLUTION: A laminate is obtained by a method in which a water soluble polyvinyl alcohol resin containing 1-10 mole % of a <=4Cα-olefin is applied on a base film, the coating film is formed, and a solution comprising a zirconium compound is applied on the resin.
