PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a large capacity oil pump without enlarging the cylinder block of an engine. SOLUTION: An oil pump 53 is installed in an offset bank space BS. The offset bank space BS is in between the end wall of a connecting side (rear end side of an engine) of an upper block 1, lower block with a transmission and an end plate. And that is demarcated at the end of a cylinder block (upper block 1, lower block) by the gap in arrangement of cylinders CY to a crankshaft direction in both banks of the V-type engine. Thereby, the oil pump can be arranged in compact in whole cylinder block. Then, the requirement for making larger scale of engine when the thickness of the oil pump in axial direction is increased in accordance with the increase in capacity can be prevented.
