PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly compose the whole in an axial direction, and facilitate assembly. SOLUTION: This electric control valve is so constituted that a valve rod 4 is advanced and retracted by an electric driving means for approaching and separating a valve head 3 with/from a valve seat 2 provided on a valve cabinet 1 and a flow rate is controlled changing an opening area between the valve seat 2 and the valve head 3. In such a constituted electric control valve, a male screw pipe 7 rotatavely accepts the valve rod 4 is provided on a central part of a rotor 6 of the electric driving means for advancing and retracting the valve rod 4 to screw the male screw pipe 7 in a female screw pipe 8 stood in the valve cabinet 1. An advance and retreat restricting means 9 for restricting an advancing and retracting area of the valve rod 4 is arranged between the outside of the female screw pipe 8 and the rotor 6. Accordingly, the whole is shortened in an axial direction as compared with a case when the advance and retreat restricting means is disposed on an upper part of the rotor. Furthermore, it is possible to form to a structure that an upper lid, etc., of a case does not concern when assembling.
