摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving an ink-jet recording head capable of ejecting minute ink droplets with a 15μm or less droplet diameter without deteriorating the high frequency ejection characteristics and without requiring a special heat production technique. SOLUTION: In a method for driving an ink-jet recording head by applying a driving voltage to an electromechanical transducer for deforming the electromechanical transducer so as to generate pressure change in a pressure generating room filled with an ink for ejecting ink droplets from a nozzle communicating with the pressure generating room, the voltage wave form of the driving voltage includes at least a first voltage change process 11 for shrinking the volume of the pressure generating room, and a second voltage change process 12 for subsequently expanding the volume of the pressure generating room, with the voltage change time between the first voltage change process 11 and the second voltage change process 12 set at the natural period of the natural oscillation of the electromechanical transducer or less.
