PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with a surgical treatment for skeletal joint resuscitation that an arbitrary discontinuous portion within the wall or rim of the acetabulum of the innominate bone, such as an acetabular notch below a lateral ligament, causes bonding cement for use in bonding a ball joint cup to the acetabulum surface to be lost when passing through the discontinuous portion. SOLUTION: The invention includes a component element disposed within an acetabulum 3 prior to insertion of a ball joint cup and having a closing wall 7 which closes the wall or rim 6 of the acetabulum 3 over an arbitrary discontinuous portion 4 within the acetabulum 3, and a means for positioning the closing wall 7 in an appropriate position.
