摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a yield and reduce costs by forming at least a part of nozzles and an ink liquid chamber of an ink jet head out of an integrally constructed channel nozzle member consisting of a metallic material. SOLUTION: A channel nozzle plate 1 is a one-piece structure of a metallic material having a plurality of nozzles 4 for discharging ink drops and a recessed part 11 forming a part of a side wall of an ink liquid chamber 6 communicating with each of the nozzles 4. For example, the nozzles 4 are formed by electrodeposition and the recessed part 11 is formed by etching. A water-repellent process layer 12 is formed to a nozzle face of the channel nozzle plate 1. The water- repellent process layer 12 can be formed, e.g. by vapor depositing and coating a fluororesin of evaporation properties or the like. Since at least a part of the nozzles and ink liquid chamber is formed of the channel nozzle member of the one-piece structure of the metallic material, the need for registering and joining substrates is eliminated, a yield is improved and costs can be reduced.
