PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arrange items in rows by changing their attitudes from erect state to a state of falling on its side or from a state of falling on its side to erect state in concurrent with a changing of arrangement space of items, and carry out these motions with one driving actuator by interlocking each of the motions. SOLUTION: This device comprises a supporting member 6 for supporting a plurality of holding heads 7 having a holding means 16, and an expanding/ contracting means for the spaces between items held by moving the holding heads 7 on the supporting member 6 in a horizontal direction, and further there are provided in the device a supporting shaft 14 arranged at the holding head 7 and rotatably supporting the holding means 16 in a vertical direction, a rotating shaft 13 rotated in a horizontal direction, and a drive transmission means 17 for converting a rotating motion of the rotating shaft 13 in its horizontal direction to a rotating motion in its vertical direction, wherein the spaces of the items are expanded or contracted by the expanding or contracting means, the holding means 16 is rotated upwardly or downwardly under a rotating motion in a vertical direction transmitted by the drive transmission means 17 to cause the items to use or fall to the side.
