PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch of doors or the like that has a simple configuration and prevents a large foreign sound from being generated even when doors and windows are opened with great force. SOLUTION: A switch of doors or the like consists of an outer cylinder 2 of continuous length that has an essentially flat C-shaped section, an insertion member 3 of continuous length that is inserted from the rear end part of the outer cylinder 2 into the outer cylinder 2 so that it can be stretched freely and has a part to be engaged that is made of a synthetic resin that is at least partially elastic near a rear end part, and an engagement projection 17 that is formed in one piece with the outer cylinder 2 by press-machining a bottom surface near the tip part of the above outer cylinder 2 and can be engaged to the part to be engaged of the above insertion member 3.
