PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate construction by connecting plural plate members substantially intersecting the axis of a structure member by connecting members to form a reinforcing member and fitting the reinforcing member to the inner wall of the structure member. SOLUTION: In the case of reinforcing a structure body of a straight pipe (A part) of a main structure member 20, plate-like members 41 are fitted to the inner walls of both ends of a connecting member 42, and the outer periphery of the plate-like member is welded to form a reinforcing member 40. Holes 24 are provided in several portions of the periphery of a position required to dispose the reinforcing member 40. The reinforcing member 40 is inserted in the end part of the main structure member 20, and forced in to a designated position. Further, it is confirmed that the reinforcing member 4 is located in the position of the hole 24 provided in the main structure member 20, and the hole part 24 is welded. In the case of reinforcing the connecting joint part (B part) of a construction, similarly to the A part, the main structure member 20 and the reinforcing member 40 are joined. A branch structure member 30 is pressed to the main structure member 20, and the periphery of the branch structure member 30 is welded. Thus, the structure member can be easily reinforced.
