PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the side leakage of ink and enable a continuos printing to be efficiently performed when a protecting layer for coating and insulating an integrated circuit element or the like to be mounted on a printed wiring board is formed by printing. SOLUTION: A squeegee 5 is formed entirely into a cylindrical shape and an inner space part serving as a resin filled part 5a, with a diametral size in a width direction orthogonal with the sliding direction being of a longer axis than the open width of an open pattern part 8 corresponding to the printing region 14 of a mater 11 to be printed. A resin 7 packed in the squeegee 5 is printed by forcing it out of the open pattern part 8 onto the printing region 14 by sliding the squeegee 5 over the main face under pressure. The printing mask 4 is of such a construction that its thickness becomes gradually smaller toward the moving direction of the squeegee 5.
