PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily recognize images recorded in video from inside of an elevator car by providing the elevator car with a television camera for taking a photograph of the inside condition of the car, and providing a video recorder for recording the image taken by the television camera in an elevator operation board. SOLUTION: A television camera 8 for taking a photograph of the inside of a car 1 is provided by a fitting at a position in this side of a side plate 2 in the depth of the car 1 near a ceiling 3. A video recorder (time lapse video recorder) 9 for recording images taken by the television camera 8 is provided inside of an operation board 7, and the video recorder 9 is connected to the television camera 8 through a signal line. Since the video recorder 9 for recording the images taken by the television camera 8 is provided inside of the operation board 7 of the elevator, confirmation of the recorded image, recorded information, abnormal information and control and setting of the video can be easily performed inside of the car 1.
