<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability of a particulate filter. SOLUTION: Filter flat sheets 5 comprising a nonwoven fabric made of a metal and corrugated sheets 7 made of a metal are alternately laminated to form a filter laminate and this laminate is folded double around a shaft element 9 to form filter elements 10a, 10b which are, in turn, compactly inserted into an outer cylinder 11 in a double comma-shaped state. Since the filter flat sheets of the respective layers of the filter elements 10a, 10b are connected to the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 11 at a short distance, the structural strength of a filter is increased and the deformation and damage of the filter elements caused by thermal expansion are prevented.</p> |
