PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of realizing excellent smearfastness and smudging fastness and shortening of blot dry time by including a colorant, methylpropanediol and methylpentanediol. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a colorant (e.g. an azo dye, a methine dye, a triaryl dye, an anthracene dye, a phthalocyanine dye, a xanthine dye or an oxazine dye), (B) 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol and (C) at least one of methylpentanediol (2-methyl-2,4-pentanedioll, etc., as an especially preferred one). The content of the components B and C is preferably respectively about 2 to about 7 wt.% and about 0.5 to about 2 wt.%, more preferably receptively about 3 to about 6 wt.% and about 0.5 to about 1.5 wt.%. The composition is preferably used for a thermal ink jet printer. |
