PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain a good image when the image is formed by using a head device wherein an aperture for ejecting toner is provided on a flexible head substrate. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises a head device wherein apertures 12 for ejecting toner are arranged on a flexible head substrate 11 and a toner supplying device for supplying the toner to the apertures on the head device. A first control electrode 13 and a second control electrode 14 for controlling ejection of the toner are provided to circumferences of apertures on both of faces of the head substrate 11 of the head device. Lead sections 13a of the first control electrode 13 and lead sections 14a of the second electrode 14 are provided to the substrate in the direction perpendicular to a row of apertures and at least one of lead sections resides on the head substrate in the direction perpendicular to the arrangement of the apertures. |
