PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a steering device (reduction of the axial size) in case of connecting an input shaft (or an output shaft) contractible in the axial direction to an output shaft (or an input shaft) through a connecting body to be elastically deformed according to transmission torque. SOLUTION: In this steering device, an input shaft 11 and an output shaft 12 are connected to each other through a connecting body to be elastically deformed in the rotational direction according to transmission torque so as to transmit torque. In this case, the connecting body is formed into a hollow shape (a hollow spring 13), the input shaft 11 is made contractible in the axial direction, and a part (the left end of a solid shaft 11A) of the input shaft 11 can be axially fitted in the connecting body (the hollow spring 13). |
