PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for treating waste water capable of saving energy and resources. SOLUTION: In the waste water treating method, acid waste water is neutralized with alkali sludge in a main treating tank 50 without an agitation power. Energy saving is attained since the agitation power is not required, and since the acid waste water is neutralized with the alkali sludge without using new chemical, not only alkali sludge recycling but also chemical cost reduction are attained. Therefore, running cost is remarkably reduced in comparison with a conventional waste water treating method.
