PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To register the diagrams in a railway data base as the same file without distinguishing the kinds of diagrams such as a diagram for weekday, that for holiday and the like, by providing the train information called 'line' with a running date pattern of every train. SOLUTION: The operation is started by inputting the information necessary for determining the railway schedule such as a starting station, a terminal station, a starting time, an arrival time, a standard travelling time, a standard stop time and the like relative to a corresponding train from an input device 2 (S101). Then the information corresponding to the predetermined running date pattern is input (S102). In this running date patterns, the items are classified into monday - friday, saturday, sunday, two days before holiday, day before holiday, holiday and the like, and the running data of the corresponding train is patternized. By providing each train with the running date pattern, a diagram for weekday, that for holiday and the like can be registered in the same file as one train information, and the data is not overlapped to one another. After the determination, the formed instruction is executed (S103).
