PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chewing candy product continuing a tacky crushing property for a long time and having excellent texturing property, taste and palatability by substituting an oxidized starch with a part of gelatin in the product. SOLUTION: This chewing candy product such as a chewing candy in which a central part is filled with a liquid, a syrup core or powder containing 5-10 wt.% of starch oxide and is obtained by substituting the starch oxide with at least a part of gelatin in the product. The chewing candy product does not contain a gelatin and preferably contains arabic gum, and preferably the chewing candy product is produced by gelatinizing starch by heating starch oxide, mixing the gelatinized starch with a residual component in the final product, cooking the resultant mixture and molding a heated lump.
