PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven and the control method of the same, equipped with a message center capable of developing an additional service function except the original function of the microwave oven. SOLUTION: A microwave oven is provided with a message center for inputting and storing information with respect to an additional service function except the information with respect to the original function of the microwave oven or a cooking function, and for outputting the information at a specified time. The message center comprises an inputting means 110 for inputting an information with respect to the additional service function except the cooking function, a storing means 140 for storing the information with respect to the additional service function, an indicating means 170 for indicating the information with respect to the additional service function, and a control means 130 for storing the information with respect to the additional service function into the storing means 40 and reading the information out of the storing means to output the same into the indicating mans 170.
