<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sewage purifying capacity by anaerobes by linking a bored dish to another dish through a link, placing the hole of the bored dish within the projection of another dish and making the size of another dish smaller than that of the bored dish. SOLUTION: The contact matreial 1 is formed by vertically linking a large dish 2 and a small dish 3 with a link 5. A part of sludge 4 propagated on the dish 2 is dropped from a hole 2a, settled and received by the dish 3, and the sludge overflowing the outer edge of the dish 3 and settled is received by another lower dish 2 provided below. In this case, the position of the hole 2a of the upper dish 2 is kept within the vertical projection of the small dish 3, and the size of the small dish 3 is made smaller than the vertical projection of the large dish 2. Such a process is repeated to prolong the residence time of the sludge in an anaerobic bacterium tank, and the sewage purifying capacity by the anaerobes is enhanced.</p> |
