INK REPLACING FLASH SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for flashing ink residue from a fluid system for use in a continuous ink jet printing station. SOLUTION: Ink is rapidly drained from a fluid system and this fluid system is refilled with a flash fluid. The flow of the flash fluid is directed through all of the constitutional elements of the fluid system usually housing ink. Thereafter, the flow of the flash fluid can be turned to a waste fluid tank 4 without being recirculated to an ink tank.
