THAWING CONTROL METHOD FOR MICROWAVE OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the next period output power from a magnetron variably by detecting the variation in the output value from a sensor for a predetermined time and regulating the power of the magnetron depending on the detected variation. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 12 collects a data by inputting the variation of a voltage signal with respect to the cooking state of an article to be cooked sensed through a cooking state sensor 6 periodically through a voltage detecting section 8 starting from an arbitrary measurement starting point during power on interval. Subsequently, the microcomputer 12 operates the data of variation collected from the cooking state sensor 6 during a predetermined power-on time of a magnetron 18. A decision is then made based on the operated value whether the moment of time for finishing the thawing function has reached or not. If it has not reached yet, power-on time of the magnetron 18 is regulated by applying the operated value of collected data as a correction value.
