SOLUTION: This bundling device is provided with the pre-treating section 12 having a threshing depth carrier 28, a root-arranging plate 79 for arranging the roots of non-bundled discharged grain straws, a main detection sensor for detecting the grain straws carried to a threshing depth carrier 28, etc. When either of a case wherein a root side detection sensor 80L or an ear tip side detection sensor 80R disposed in the bundling device 50 is switched on 5 seconds later after the main detection sensor detects the grain straws and a case where 10 seconds passes after the main detection sensor 32 detects the grain straws is satisfied, an automatic start signal 101 for starting the control of the root- arranging plate 79 is outputted to a motor for arranging roots.
