<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system which can reduce the output time of printing. SOLUTION: This system can be used to reduce the time required for a printer 10 or a printing system 12 to produce printing output. With a prestart signal received, the printer 10 operates to move from an idle mode to a printing mode. The printer 10 also operates, with the prestart signal received, to stay for a longer period of time at the printing mode. The prestart signal is a signal which shows that one or more printing operations are executed. The printing system 12 is equipped with peripheral equipments 16, 32 which are constructed so that the prestart signal is transmitted to the printer 10 when one or more printing operations are detected.</p> |
