PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the handling convenience of a gas cooker provided with a child lock. SOLUTION: A gas cooker is provided with a flow rate control unit for controlling the flow rate of gas for a burner, a driving unit 34 for driving the flow rate control unit, a drive control unit 58, controlling the driving of the driving unit 34, an operating unit for commanding the operation of the drive control unit 58, and a child lock switch 19 for making the command for the operating unit ineffective. The child lock switch 19 is constituted so that a child lock condition is introduced after intercepting the flow rate control unit by a child lock delay means, when the child lock switch 19 is operated during combustion whereby the flow rate control unit is brought into the closed position to intercept the gas surely and, thereafter, the child lock condition is introduced when the child lock switch 19 is operated during combustion whereby the property of safety is improved and the handling convenience of the gas cooker is also improved.
