PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a valve member from being broken due to a pressing force more than required by providing a part of a range which is at the press-deforming length or lower of the valve member in the longitudinal direction of a writing utensil, by a member which pinches the valve member, as a butt section for the moving restriction of a pressing member, in the writing utensil equipped with the valve member. SOLUTION: At the time of writing, when a ball-point pen tip is pressed onto a paper surface, a nib holder 8 moves in the direction to an ink tank 3 behind. In this case, the rear end of an ink relay core 9 applies a pressing force to an elastic valve 10, and deforms the elastic valve 10. The elastic valve 10 is pinched by a pressing force in the longitudinal direction by the ink tank 3 and a front barrel 6, and in this case, the locations on the elastic valve 10, which deform when receiving the pressing force of the pinching, are formed as contact sections 10b, 10c which respectively come into contact with the ink tank 3 and the front barrel 6. Also, a butt section 10d which restricts the backward moving range of the ink relay core 9, is provided, and the butt section 10d is set in such a manner that a distance α to an innermost diameter section of the contact section 10c may become not more than a press-deforming length βby the front barrel 6 of the elastic valve 10. |
