PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic traveling pig capable of inspecting and grinding/polishing/cleaning a fluid piping without stopping the flow inside the fluid piping. SOLUTION: A propeller 19 rotatively driven by fluid flowing inside a fluid piping, a pair of driving wheels 36 making a pig 1 travel inside the piping by being transmitted a rotation of the propeller 19, coming into contact with an inner wall of the piping, and rotating, obstacle detecting means 53 and 54 placed inside the piping and detecting obstacles interfering with the traveling of the pig 1, and mechanisms 29b, 29b', 40, 42, and 48 switching a traveling direction of the pig 1 in operative association with the obstacle detecting means 53 and 54 when an obstacle is detected, are provided.
