PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metal-coated fishing line having excellent flexibility and receiving little resistance of water by constituting the line with a synthetic fiber thread and a specific thin film coated on the surface of the synthetic fiber thread. SOLUTION: The objective fishing line is composed of a synthetic fiber thread 2 and a thin film 3 of a metal or metal oxide applied to the surface of the synthetic fiber thread 2. The synthetic fiber thread 2 has a diameter of preferably 10-200μm, the thickness of the metal or metal oxide thin film 3 is preferably 10-10,000Åand the synthetic fiber thread 2 is composed of preferably a polyester, a polypropylene, a polyamide, a polyethylene or a poly-p-phenylene isophthalamide. |
