PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording apparatus reducing the quantity of air bubbles remaining between a hollow supply needle supplying ink to a recording head and a filter member and capable of stably supplying ink to the recording head. SOLUTION: A projected part 22a is formed to the filter member 22 arranged to the lower bottom part of an ink supply needle 21 leading ink out of an ink cartridge 8 on the hollow part side of the ink supply needle 21. By the presence of the projected part 22a, the substantial area of the filter member 22 can be increased and the pressure loss by the filter member 22 can be reduced. Since the space where a residual air bubble Ai is present on the upstream side of the filter member 22 is occupied by the semispherical projected part 22a, the discharge of the air bubble Ai can be accelerated at a time of the initial filling operation of ink. |
