PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an air flow for blowing the flame of a burner from passing through the gap between the opening edge of a top plate and a burner head by providing the top plate having an opening facing the burner head of a stove burner with a vent opening independent. SOLUTION: Outer circumference of a top plate 21 covering a cooking stove body is mounted on a packing 24 over the entire circumference thereof in order to prevent juice soup from intruding into the gas cooking stove through the gap between a counter top T and the top plate 21. The top plate 21 is provided with an opening 21a facing a burner head 25a, and a vent opening 21b located in the rear of the top plate 21. The vent opening 21b is covered with an exhaust gas cover 28 mounted on the top plate 21. On the front side of a baffle plate 29, the vent opening 21b serves as an opening 30 for discharging exhaust gas from an exhaust tube 27 under the vent opening 21b to the upper side of the top plate 21. On the rear side of the baffle plate 29, the vent opening 21b serves as an opening 31 for ventilating the air vertically through the top plate 21.
