PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a valve element in spite of large amounts or a small amount of hot water by a shape and an arrangement of a pressure relief groove that can perform pressure relief. SOLUTION: A single lever type mixing tap is provided on a bottom part in a housing, and is provided with a fixed valve element 3 having a hot water inflow port 3a, a water inflow port 3b and a mixed water outflow port 3c, and a movable valve element 4 slidably provided on the fixed valve element, and having a mixing chamber 4a for communicating with the hot water inflow port, the water inflow port and the mixed water outflow port in a slidable surface with the fixed valve element. By operating a handle lever engaged with the movable valve element, the hot water inflow port and the water inflow port of the fixed valve element are opened and closed. In such a constituted single lever type mixing tap, a pressure relief groove 4b for communicating with the water inflow port and the mixed water outflow port is formed on the slidable surface of the movable valve element at a position that does not touch the mixing chamber directly.
