A replaceable wear part (10, 20) of a soil-working tool which has a working surface region (12), and a wear protecting element (14; 21, 21a; 30) mounted on the wear part and having a working edge (19, 24) in which: (1) the wear protecting element (14; 21, 21a; 30) is mounted in position via an adhesively secured tongue and groove type of interfit (15, 18) and the working edge (19, 24) extends transversely of the longitudinal axis of the groove (18); (2) relative slidable movement can take place longitudinally of the groove (18) during mounting and de-mounting; (3) the initial fit between the tongue and groove defines a space for introduction of adhesives; and (4) the interfit includes a diverging formation (15a; 23, 23a; 31) which resists relative separation in a direction perpendicular to the groove (18) so that resistance to longitudinal displacement is provided by the adhesive, and resistance to displacement perpendicular to the axis is carried by the diverging formation. |
