PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knife for premarketing cut-feed treatment of a live fish capable of readily carrying out the premarketing cut-feed and bleeding of the live fish and further preventing the damage of the knife itself during the bleeding operation. SOLUTION: This knife is obtained by protrusively installing a freely foldable main blade part 2 in a handle part 1, providing a stepped blade part 3 extending toward a ridge part 2a and a tip short blade part 4 having a sharp pointed end 4c having a blade edge 4a connected to the inner end of the stepped blade part 3 at a prescribed angle at the tip of the main blade part 2, regulating the total length of the blade edge 3a of the stepped blade part 3 to 5 mm and the total length of the blade edge 4a of the tip short blade part 4 to 15 mm and further regulating the angle of the stepped blade part 3 to the tip short blade part 4 to 110 deg., inserting the tip short blade part 4 from the gill opening, catching the backbone of a fish with both the blade edges 3a and 4a of the stepped blade part 3 and the tip short blade part 4, strongly pressing both the blade edges 3a and 4a against the backbone of the fish with the stepped blade part 3 as a fulcrum, thereby notching or cutting the backbone or the artery and carrying out the bleeding.
