PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of gas from an electrophoresis apparatus and the mixing of the different kinds of components into a sample liquid to be separated and to use migration methods and the kinds of electrolytes broadly. CONSTITUTION:A positive-electrode electrolyte chamber 2 and a negative- electrode electrolyte chamber 3 are arranged on both sides of a separating chamber 1. A positive electrode 9 is attached to the positive-electrode electrolyte chamber 2, and a negative electrode 10 is attached to the negative-electrode electrolyte chamber 2. The positive electrode 9 is formed of a metal oxide or metal hydroxide which is insoluble into electrolyte and also insoluble into electrochemical oxide product. The negative electrode 10 is formed of metal oxide, metal hydroxide or metal oxihydroxide which is insoluble into electrolyte and also insoluble into electrochemically reduced product. |
