PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily connect a cage and a steel pipe and contrive the reduction of labors and costs and the reduction of a construction period by inserting steel pipe connected to the cages in a shaft, and providing an opening and closing means for opening and closing an edge opening part. SOLUTION: A cover plate 8 is provided on an opening part 7a to be welded on a bottom plate 6 by a connection member on the outer periphery, and the vertical bar 4a of a cage 4 and the connection member of a steel pipe 5 are overlapped to be tied by a wire or the like. During execution, an integrated vertical bar 4a and the connection member is inserted in a shaft 2, and a tremie pipe is inserted in the cage 4 from the opening part 7a of the cover plate 8 of the bottom plate 6 of the steel pipe 5. Next, the level of cast-in-place concrete 22 is charged down to the neighborhood of the bottom plate 6 in the shaft 2 to pull out the tremie pipe so as to block the opening part 7a by the cover plate 8, and a casing 20 is pulled out from the upper part of the shaft 2. A column material 40 is set up in the steel pipe 5, filling concrete 23 is charged in the steel pipe 5, and an outer periphery is filled with concrete 24 to complete steel pipe pile 1. Thereby a time and a cost can be reduced.
