PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic copolymer which has polymer components with different polarities and glass transition temperatures, allows easy regulation of combinations of such polymer components having different polarities and glass transition temperatures, exerts a high degree of freedom in its design and is applicable to a wide range of use. SOLUTION: This copolymer is prepared by copolymerizing an alkyl (meth) acrylate (a) having an 1-14C alkyl group, an olefin polymer or copolymer (b) having a terminal modified with a radical-polymerizable unsaturated double bond and a polymer (c) having a terminal modified with a radical-polymerizable unsaturated double bond, a number average molecular weight of 2,000 to 30,000 and a glass transition temperature of 30 deg.C or higher. Here, a branched polymer component having a low polarity and a different glass transition temperature is grafted to a stem polymer component mainly comprising the alkyl (meth) acrylate (a).
