PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicinal composition having high safety, exhibiting excellent gastritis and stomach ulcer treating effect and useful as a digestive medicine by simultaneously formulating cetraxate hydrochloride with histamine H2 receptor antagonistic medicine and an antacid. SOLUTION: This medicinal composition comprises (A) cetraxate hydrochloride, (B) histamine H2 receptor antagonistic medicine (preferably, one or two or more kinds of compounds selected from a group comprising preferably cimetidine, ranitidine, famotidine and roxatidine) and (C) an antacid (preferably, one or two or more kinds of compounds selected from a group comprising sodium hydrogencarbonate, precipitated calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium oxide and magnesium silicate). Furthermore, preferable formulation amount of each component in administering to human is as follows: the component A: 600 mg/day; cimetidine: 300 mg/day when cimetidine is used as the component B; sodium hydrogencarbonate: 450 mg/day and precipitated calcium carbonate: 600 mg/day when sodium hydrogencarbonate and precipitated calcium carbonate are used as the component C.
