PURPOSE: A method for assigning telephone numbers is provided to memorize the telephone numbers and call, by assigning the telephone numbers according to names or titles of subscribers, without memorizing or writing the telephone numbers. CONSTITUTION: A method for assigning telephone numbers, comprises the steps of: setting a corresponding relation between numbers and consonants and vowels; inputting names or titles of subscribers; detecting at least one consonant/vowel in each syllable included in the names or titles; forming telephone numbers, by corresponding each detected consonant/vowel to numbers; and assigning the telephone numbers to subscribers.
