PURPOSE: An apparatus for performing inter processor Ethernet communication of a full electronic exchange is provided to perform the Ethernet communication and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers(IEEE)802.3 communication, by using Ethernet to remove a communication only board in a processor block and to duplicate an RJ-45 connector, instead of a high level data link control(HDLC) path. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for performing inter processor Ethernet communication of a full electronic exchange comprises a central processing unit(CPU)(10), a memory(20), a system controller(30), and an Ethernet processor(60). The CPU processes general operations of an upper control processor. The memory stores programs and data. The system controller performs control commands of a switching system. The Ethernet processor is controlled by the CPU, and performs the Ethernet communication and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers(IEEE)802.3 communication. The Ethernet processor comprises a communication controller(61), a clock/monitoring timer(62), an Ethernet controller, and a connector(64). The communication controller controlled by the CPU, performs the Ethernet communication through an RJ-45 connector, and controls so that the data is transmitted and received through Ethernet. The clock/monitoring timer supplies a real time clock and monitors a timer. The Ethernet controller transmits and receives the data and controls Ethernet communication of a 10Base_T(ANSI(American National Standards Institute)IEEE standards). The connector performs modular functions of the RF-45 connector.
