PURPOSE: An apparatus for operating farms through networks is provided, so that farm owners can foster emotion and have incomes by virtually or substantially growing plants through the networks. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for operating farms through networks comprises many subscriber terminals(10), a web server(20), a common gateway interface(CGI)(60), a plant-growing device operator(100), and many information providers(40). The subscriber terminals mediate between the networks to make subscribers operate the farms. The web server connects the subscriber terminals with the networks. The CGI interfaces with data transmitted from at least more than one subscriber terminal by mediating the networks. The subscribers virtually or substantially grow specific plants in the farms and with growing skill in the plant-growing device operator. The plant-growing device operator trades the raised plants and various factors for growing the plants, and bids prices at auction for the plants by market functions. The information providers supply the plants and information on the plants-growing factors. Each of the subscriber terminals comprises a web browser(32) and a modem(34). The web browser displays various transmitted/received data for plant growing. The modem physically connects the web browser with the web server. |
