PURPOSE: An antenna for a portable wireless device is provided to improve the characteristics of the antenna by using a plate spring as the spring mounted into the helical antenna, thereby widening the bandwidths. CONSTITUTION: An antenna(20) for a portable wireless device comprises a knob(21), an insulation portion(22), a helical antenna(23), and an Ni-Ti wire(24). A plate spring is used as a spring(25A). A metal rod(26) is mounted into one end of the spring(25A), and then the metal rod(26) is soldered to the spring(25A). Then, a bobbin(32) is mounted to the spring(25A). A C-ring(33) is made of a heat-processed copper.
