PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing chattering of a matrix switching device and a method thereof are provided to minimize the chattering removal time. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for removing chattering of a matrix switching device includes a matrix switch and a controller. The matrix switch includes a plurality of switches connected in a n*m matrix formation. The controller is coupled to the matrix switch. The controller generates a preset signal through a plurality of switch signals which are scanned through a plurality of input ports when an interrupt is determined to be present during a preset interrupt interval. The controller further reads the plurality of switch signals so as to reset the interrupt status by adjusting the status of the plurality of output ports to an initial status. The controller further determines whether another interrupt is present during a calculation process.
