PURPOSE: A method for controlling a record in an optical disk is provided to prevent degradation of a regeneration characteristics even after recording by performing ROPC(Running Optimum Power Control) for a disk with less unevenness by judging the unevenness degree of a disk before recording. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether an optical disk is uneven(S1). Upon judgement, in case that the optical disk is uneven, a running optimum power control is performed to determine an optimum power for recording a data(S2-S8), and in the opposite case, a recording power determined by the optimum power control is determined as an optimum power(S9,S10).
